The fact of the matter remains that both of these restaurants serve, without a doubt, the best Italian food in Lisbon. Pausa’s mortadella sandwich with pistachio pesto and pecornio is the deli sandwich that dreams are made of. Meanwhile, Ruvida is the only spot in town that makes all their pasta completely by hand with a rolling pin and no machinery.
This comes with a price tag to match the manual labor, but it’s worth every penny.
