Lindy Reid started making bagels at home after struggling to find any in Lisbon, but soon that hobby turned into a full blown vocation with the launch of Rhodo Bagels, an adorable Cais do Sodre brunch joint that has firmly cemented itself as the only great bagel shop in town.
Lindy’s bagels are best had in the early morning when they are still fresh, but they remain a treat well into the afternoon, thanks in large part to the Rhodo Bagel’s terrific toppings. This is more than your run-of-the-mill lox and smear joint (although their lox and smear are fantastic!).
Lindy serves a delightful trout roe bagel, a mouth-watering shroombagel, and perhaps my favorite of all, a bacon-egg-and-cheese that can hold its own as the city’s very best — pro tip: Get it with the cheddar-jalapeno bagel.
