If you know anything about Australia, it’s that they are the masters of brunch. Nestled in a cozy side street of Sao Bento, starting off your weekend at Albi is a shot of heaven.
This quite-literal hole in the wall barely has enough room to seat five parties, but the intimacy of the space and its perfect natural lighting makes it one of the most endearing morning dives in town. Australian owner Julian and his partner Fernanda don’t serve the boring staples that you’ll find at the other nearby breakfast joints, instead dishing up a massive sideways lasagna, crunchy huevos rancheros, refreshing kafta kebab, and fresh-baked chocolate chip cookies.
Albi: top it all off with a coconut cold brew and you’ve got a shot of Aussie spirit in your Portugal morning.
