Terramay farms is not easy to reach, as it sits on the Spanish border alongside the Guadiana river, but it’s well worth the trip. Not only is this regenerative farm the distributor for many of Portugal’s finest upscale eateries, it’s also home to two on-site restaurants; Raya Beach Club and Pao & Pizza.
While the former is not to be missed if you’re already in the area, the latter is a restaurant that justifies an entire detouring roadtrip. This renovated bakery not only makes phenomenal bread, but fresh pizza the likes of which you won’t find anywhere else in Portugal. Why? Because every single ingredient comes straight from the farm. It’s salt-of-the-earth dining in the blissful outdoors.
Oh, and did I mention the pizza has zero flop?
