If it weren’t for Baan Saraiva’s, I’d have made peace with the fact that there is no good Thai food in the city of Lisbon. Thankfully, this elevated Thai concept stands out as the only spot in town to actually import all the right ingredients so that it can nail dishes that are otherwise impossible to find elsewhere.
Whether it’s a perfect pad Thai, a fragrant tom kha chicken soup, or the perfectly spiced gang keow chicken curry, Baan Saraiva’s has it all, and while it all comes with a hefty price tag (these herbs and spices don’t import themselves), it is undoubtedly the only
Thai restaurant I have been to that actually boasts the flavor intrinsic to this cuisine.
