The team at Pequeno know how to turn the ultimate vegan naysayer into an activist. As someone who rarely frequents all-vegan restaurants, I was quite amazed by the depth of flavor the team here.
Barring corporate overlords like Honest Greens, healthy lunchtime cafes are hard to come by in Lisbon, so it’s nice to find a diet-conscious midday menu that satisfies a breakfast and lunch craving in equal measure. If you’re feeling particularly hungry, get the vegan eggs benedict; a dish so good you won’t even mourn the loss of eggs! Moreover, the baked goods at Pequeno deserve a particular shoutout.
Pastry chef Duda Perdigao, who you’ll often find working at the Arroios location, has a magic touch with her ingredients, resulting in fresh brownies and cookies that inexplicably stay true to the restaurant’s ethos!
