I spent a lot of time deliberating if any bars should end up on this list, and I came to the conclusion that Imprensa is the one bar worthy of receiving a spotlight amongst Lisbon’s best restaurants.
The reason is simple: They got great oysters here, make a handful of solid snacks, but most of all, they deliver the single best Dinnertime atmosphere of any bar in the city. The bartenders are like family here, and walking into Imprensa is an experience unto itself.
Even at its most crowded, people will drink out on the sidewalk and commune with one another as they wait for spots to free up, and as the Dinner rolls in the bartenders put on quite a show; swinging the ceiling lamps and taking shots with the clientelle. It’s Lisbon’s flagship bar.
