Marta and André opened Âmago the same week that the Covid-19 lockdowns began in Portugal, but when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. Instead of giving up on their dream, they turned Âmago into the “safest restaurant to dine at” in 2020, serving only one couple per night throughout the entire quarantine.
Half a decade later, Âmago is everything this bold couple dreamed of: a Michelin-certified restaurant, with one table, ten seats, and a fresh seasonal menu that creatively experiments with flavors.
From juicy lion’s mane mushrooms (grown from coffee grounds in the heart of Lisbon) to smoked butter, a visit to Âmago is a sensory journey that asks for your active participation to fully enjoy the dining experience; not just deciphering the unique ingredient combinations, but also striking up conversations with the other nine people at your table.
